Peasant Blouse

This blouse was inspired by the windows of the Hemel Hempstead Civic Centre, next door to the West Herts college where I did my City and Guilds course.

Pin tucks are used at the shoulder front, to shape the waist,
and to take in  fullness of the sleeve head and lower arm of the bell sleeves.
The collar and placket feature a wave-tucked pleated strip inspired from the
louvered section of the window. There are 6 decorative "jewelled" buttons
on the placket, and a single fastening button on the front collar.
